Frequently asked questions

  • What is included in the Thermal Spa?

Our Thermal Spa includes three saunas, a cold plunge, a cold shower, and our Great Room lounge - a comfortable space to rest and reset between rounds of heat and cold. For 2hr reservations, we include a robe, slippers, and towels. For 1hr reservations, we include towels. All our robes and towels are organic cotton.

  • Is the Thermal Spa co-ed?

Yes. Our public Thermal Spa is a shared space, and appropriate swimwear or clothing is required. Nudity is only permitted when the entire facility is reserved for a private buyout.

  • How many people are in the space at one time?

We intentionally limit our public Thermal Spa to a maximum of 8 guests at a time. This keeps the experience spacious, quiet, and relaxing rather than crowded. Our movement studio is limited to 14.

  • Can I book the spa privately?

Yes. Private spa buyouts are available for groups of up to 16 guests. They’re a great option for birthdays, bridal groups, retreats, celebrations, or simply enjoying the space privately with friends. Please contact us directly for a custom event quote.

  • How old do you have to be?

Guests must be 16 years or older to use the facility.

  • What should I wear?

For the Thermal Spa, we recommend a swimsuit or loose, comfortable shorts and a tank. For movement classes, wear comfortable clothing you can easily move or sweat in.

Between rounds, most guests throw on a robe. Robes and slippers are included with 2hr reservations, and towels come with every visit.

  • What should I bring?

Bring your swimsuit, water bottle, and anything personal you’d like for after your visit. For the movement studio, bring a yoga mat or we have rental mats available.

  • What happens when I arrive?

You’ll head to the front desk, we’ll check you in, show you your private locker, and provide an overview of the facility.

From there you can change in one of our private changing rooms, leave your things in your locker, and start whenever you’re ready. There’s no set time to begin and no one will rush you.

  • Is there a right way to do the circuit?

There is no strict rule, but a typical circuit is 10-15 minutes in the sauna, followed by a cold plunge or shower, then 10-15 minutes of rest in the Great Room, repeat as many times as you like. It’s all about listening to your body.

  • Where do I change, and where do I leave my things?

We have private changing rooms and lockers for all your belongings.

  • Is it quiet, and can I bring my phone in?

We keep the Thermal Spa as a quiet zone. It’s meant to be a place to disconnect and reset, so we ask that phones stay on silent and phone calls are taken elsewhere.

You’re very welcome to talk with the people you came with. We just ask that you keep it low in the saunas and the Great Room, so everyone can use the space the way they need to.

  • I’ve never used a sauna or cold plunge before. Is that okay?

Absolutely. You do not need any previous sauna or cold-plunge experience to visit. Our team can help you understand the space and get comfortable with the flow of your visit.

  • Do I have to cold plunge?

No. Your experience is your own. You can use the services that feel appropriate for you and skip those that don’t.

  • Is White Fire Wellness a day spa?

We’re a little different from a traditional day spa. White Fire brings thermal wellness, massage and bodywork, skincare, physical therapy, red light therapy, vibroacoustic therapy, yoga, fitness, and other restorative practices together under one roof.

You can come for one service, spend time in the Thermal Spa, take a class, or build a wellness routine that works for you.

  • Do I need an appointment?

Reservations are highly recommended because we intentionally keep our capacity limited. Some services and classes require advance booking.

  • Can I come just to use the sauna and cold plunge?

Yes. You do not need to book another treatment to enjoy the Thermal Spa.

  • Can I book multiple services during the same visit?

Yes. Many guests choose to combine services while they’re here. When scheduling, our team can help you determine the best timing between appointments.

  • Where are you located?

White Fire Wellness is located just outside Columbia Falls, Montana at 72 Windfield Ln, approximately 20 minutes from Whitefish and 25 minutes from the west entrance of Glacier National Park.
